Stories of Ukrainian Art: Examples of Courage and Identity
Oleksandra Kovalchuk, Acting Director of the Odesa Fine Arts Museum, will tell the stories of 10 exceptional works of Ukrainian art. These stories will give listeners a glimpse into the history of Ukrainian art and culture. The selected works span the periods from the Byzantine mosaics to Ukrainian avant-garde and contemporary art.
Learn how the works exemplify courage and national identity. All attendees will enjoy Ukrainian pastries, a hot beverage, and browse the Ukrainian crafts for sale after the lecture.
Event is free. Any donations go to Dobro New England to provide humanitarian support for the people of Ukraine. ($10 donation suggested.)

Paint and Sip Party - Learn How to Paint Petrykivka Art
You don’t need to be an artist to attend this event! Everyone is welcome, all skill level!
Enjoy complimentary wine as artist Svitlana Rozghon provides instruction as as well as the materials needed for you to make your own Petrykivka art. You will go home with an ornament with your own Petrykivka design.

Join us at SEH Studios in Dover and learn how to paint Petrykivka art. You don’t need to be an artist to attend this event. Everyone welcome. All skills level!
What is Petrykivka?
The people of the village of Petrykivka, Ukraine decorate their living quarters, household belongings and musical instruments with a style of ornamental painting that is characterized by fantastic flowers and other natural elements, based on careful observation of the local flora and fauna.
This art is rich in symbolism: the rooster stands for fire and spiritual awakening, while birds represent light, harmony and happiness. In folk belief, the paintings protect people from sorrow and evil. Local people, and in particular women of all ages, are involved in this folk art tradition.
The tradition of decorative and applied arts contributes to the renewal of historical and spiritual memory and defines the identity of the entire community.
We are offering 2 sessions:
1pm - 2:30pm
3pm - 4:30pm
Ukrainian refreshments and treats will be avaliable as well as all materials needed for you to make your own Petrykivka art on wooden board. You will go home with wooden board with your own Petrykivka design on it!

June Ukrainian Cultural Fair
We are doing this again!
Thank you so much for your support during May Ukrainian Cultural Fair. Come join us again at Londonderry Town Common on June 12 from 11am-4pm.
We will have plenty of varenyky, pyrozky, blynchyky, kompot, borscht, and many yummy treats for the whole family to enjoy!
We will have artist who will demonstrate their skills as well as workshops for you to try yourself in making art!

Join us at Londonderry, NH Town Common and taste delicious Ukrainian food, shop Ukrainian themes products and participate in fun activities. All profits from the fair will be donated to the people in Ukraine.
